About

The Liberia National Heritage and Culture Development Association (LNHCDA) is a non-profit
organization established in 2024 with the aim of preserving, promoting, and celebrating Liberia
rich heritage and cultural diversity that was founded by Mr. Solomon M. Weawea who is
committed to safeguarding Liberia cultural legacy and championing the fight to create a safe
space for the best practice of Liberia culture and tradition.
Liberia, located on the west coast of Africa, has a rich and diverse cultural heritage that reflects
its history, traditions, and ethnic diversity.
Rooted deeply in its ancient history, Liberia lands were once inhabited by diverse indigenous
tribes, each with their unique way of life, traditions, and cultural practices. These communities
thrived for centuries, shaping the landscape with their languages, arts, rituals, and communal
bonds.
However, despite this deep-rooted heritage, Liberia cultural legacy faces a precarious future.
Over time, external influences, societal shifts, and modernization have threatened the
preservation of these invaluable traditions. As a result, there a pressing need to safeguard and
revitalize Liberia indigenous cultures, ensuring that they continue to enrich the nation's identity and collective memory.
The Liberia National Heritage and Culture Development Association (LNHCDA) recognizes the
urgency of this mission. By championing cultural awareness, education, and community
engagement initiatives, LNHCDA endeavors to breathe new life into Liberia's fading heritage.
Through collaborative efforts with local communities, academic institutions, and governmental
bodies, LNHCDA seeks to ignite a renewed appreciation for Liberia ancient cultures, fostering
a legacy that endures for generations to come.

“Preserving our culture is not just about safeguarding the past; it’s about nurturing the roots that give us identity and purpose, allowing future generations to thrive in a world enriched by their heritage.”
